Hi Everyone,
Can you believe that Thanksgiving is almost upon us! Crazy, right!? Since the holiday season is almost in full swing I thought I’d share my first Christmas card for 2019. This lovely card features Avery Elle’s Quirky Christmas stamp set – it’s so much fun!
Image
While I love all the images in this set my idea for this card was to only feature one so I stamped this adorable tree onto Neenah Solar White, 80 lb, cardstock using MFT’s Red Hot ink.
Background
For the background, I wanted to ink blend a lovely pink sky so I pulled out Lawn Fawn’s Ballet Slippers and Bubblegum inks as well as Simon Says Stamp’s Teeny Bikini ink and blended them onto a piece of Neenah Solar White, 80 lb, cardstock. Next, I used Tonic’s Nuvo Turkish Rose Mica Mist and Hero Arts’ White Glimmer Metallic Ink to splatter the background – wow the shine these give is gorgeous!
Assembly
I die cut a hill using a die from Lawn Fawn’s Simple Stitched Hillside Borders and lightly blended on Lawn Fawn’s Ballet Slippers ink along the edge. I also splattered the hill using Tonic’s Nuvo Turkish Rose Mica Mist and Hero Arts’ White Glimmer Metallic Ink and once dry I adhered it directly to the background. After that, I popped up the tree using foam tape.
Sentiment
For the seniment I used Queen and Co.’s Merry & Bright (Holiday Wishes) Kit and cut the word “Merry” three times out of white cardstock and stacked them together for dimension and interest. To finish the sentiment I stamped “Chrismas” from Avery Elle’s Quirky Christmas stamp set using Lawn Fawn’s Bubblegum ink.
I adore how simple this card is but how much interest it has. Thanks for stopping by and spending a little time with me today!
