Hi Everyone!
I don’t know why but I absolutely LOVE feathers – so when I saw the amazing Concord & 9th Feathered stamp set I knew I had to snatch it up. My favorite thing about this stamp set is that you can create several different types of feathers quickly and easily – honestly, I really can’t recommend it enough!
Image
Ok, so I know I already gushed, but, I really love this stamp set and it was hard to pick one image to use! I will be making many more cards with this set so I’m sure with time you will see ideas for all of the images. However, for today’s card, I wanted to use the solid feather and outline feather images.
To start I went through my inks and found three I thought looked pretty together: Gina K. Designs’ Lovely Lavender, Gina K. Designs’ Innocent Pink, and Hero Arts Blue Creativity. Next, I stamped the solid feather in each of these colors and then stamped the outline feather, using VersaMark ink, over each of the solid images. On a few of the feathers, I used Lawn Fawn’s Silver Embossing Powder to make the outline really standout.
Sentiment
For the sentiment, I used Concord & 9th’s Everyday Bouquet Turnabout stamp set. I heat embossed the sentiment onto a piece of pink cardstock from my stash using Lawn Fawn’s White Embossing Powder. I cut the sentiment with a die from Simon Says Stamp’s Sentiment Labels and hand-cut the angled edge.
Assembly
I die cut my design panel with the largest of Whimsy Stamps’ Hand Stitched Nested Rectangles dies and then adhered it directly to my white card base. Next, I cut a piece of MFT’s Silver Sparkle cardstock with a die from Simon Says Stamp’s Sentiment Labels set and adhered it to the back of my sentiment before adhering both to the design panel.
That’s it! A fairly quick and easy card which I think it packs a lot of punch.
Thanks for stopping by and have a great rest of the week!
