Hi Everyone,
Oh, my, goodness, can you believe it’s almost time for Easter? I can’t believe how quickly this year is flying by!
I’ve wanted to create an interactive card using Lawn Fawn’s Double Slider Surprise dies and this adorable stamp set ever since Hello Bluebird came out with Easter Egg Hunt. I’m so excited to have finally created this card and be sharing it with all of you! If you’d like another idea on how to use this interactive die then checkout my Hello Bluebird’s Halloween Fun card.
Images
All the super darling images from Hello Bluebird’s Easter Egg Hunt stamp set were stamped onto Neenah Solar White, 110 lb, cardstock using MFT’s Extreme Black Ink and I colored them with Copic markers. Next, I went over all the critters eyes with a black Sakura Gelly Roll pen.
Scene Elements
Creating the Sky
After die cutting several pieces of Bristol Smooth cardstock with the dies from Lawn Fawn’s Double Slider Surprise I ink blended Tumbled Glass and Shaded Lilac Distress Oxide inks to make a soft Spring sky.
Creating the Ground and Trees
To create a cute Spring scene I used one of Lawn Fawn’s Simple Stitched Hillside Borders dies to cut a hill out of green cardstock and then inked the edges with Pinkfresh Studio’s Olive and Evergreen inks. Next, I used the tree dies from Lawn Fawn’s Shadow Box Card Park Add-On to create the lovely trees and inked the trunks with Pinkfresh Studio’s Doe and Gather Twigs inks and the leaves with Pinkfresh Studio’s Olive and Evergreen inks. I absolutely love the addition of the trees to this card and having these along with the hills repeating on each of the three panels tie the entire scene together.
Shimmer and Shine
To add a bit more shimmer and shine to the card, I went over the butterflies with Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen. Next, I added details to the aqua and pink paint cans, brushes, and eggs using Ranger’s Liquid Pearls in Robin’s Egg and Coral. Lastly, I added Ranger’s Frosted Lace Stickles to the bunnies tails to give them a bit of shine.
Sentiment
For the sentiment, I used two of the stamps that came in the Easter Egg Hunt stamp set and white heat embossed them onto a piece of MFT’s Tickled Pink cardstock.
Assembly
I adhered a subtle pink pattern paper directly to the white card base and then adhered the Double Slider Surprise directly to the pattern paper.
Inside the Card
For the inside of the card, I created a small hill the same way I did on the Double Slider Surprise and adhered some extra images I colored to complete the scene. I love how adding this little scene inside the card really ties it all together.
I hope you are staying safe and healthy! Thank you for stoping by today!
