Hi Everyone,
One of my favorite stamp companies is Hello Bluebird – I just love their adorable images and wonderful dies! Every release is like Christmas morning to me! Today, I wanted to use Hello Bluebird’s Maverick stamp set which I’ve had in my stash for awhile. Well, to tell the truth, I colored these images last year but I just couldn’t come up with a card design I like using them…until now!
Images
I started by stamping the adorable dog and plane from the Maverick stamp set onto Neenah Solar White, 110 lb, cardstock with Ink on 3’s Blackout Ink and colored them using Copic markers.
Background
To create the scene, I die cut Neenah Solar White, 110 lb, with Hello Bluebird’s After the Rain scene die. Hello Bluebird has a few dies that create scenes, like this one, which do all the work for you! The scenes are so cute and the dies even cut the lovely frame. All that you need to do is color them and you’re done – super fast and easy!
After die cutting After the Rain I used several inks to color the cute elements. For the sky I used Pinkfresh Studio’s Sky Blue ink to add a very light blue to the sky elements. I colored the clouds using Pinkfresh Studio’s Rocky Slop ink since I wanted them to look a bit stormy. On the rainbow I used Reverse Confetti’s Bellini and Seafoam inks as well as Taylored Expressions’ Mint Julep ink. The remaining clouds I cut out of Lawn Fawn’s Pixie Dust Sparkle cardstock.
Sentiment
I created the sentiment by using one of the stamps in Hello Bluebird’s Maverick stamp set which I inked with Pinkfresh Studio’s Metropolis ink. Next, I die cut “Hi” using The Stamp Market’s Great Big Hi die and Lawn Fawn’s Pixie Dust Sparkle cardstock for the word and Neenah Solar White cardstock for the shadow. I love this big and happy sentiment!
Finishing Touches
To add a few final touches, I went over the adorable dogs eyes with a Sakura Black Glaze Pen to make them come to life. Next, I added a layer of Ranger’s Glossy Accents to the yellow parts of the plane to make them shine. Finally, I went over the rainbow, generously, with a Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen to make it sparkle.
Thanks for stopping by and spending a little time with me today! Stay safe and healthy!
