Hi Everyone,
Like many card makers I absolutely adore Lawn Fawn products – they are darling! So, when I saw Lawn Fawn’s Swan Soirée stamp set I was over the moon in love. Swan stamps sets are some of my favorites.
Images
I started by stamping many of the images from Swan Soirée onto Neenah Solar White, 110 lb, cardstock with Ink on 3’s Blackout Ink and colored them using Copic markers. After the coloring was complete I went over the baby swans eyes with Sakura Black Glaze Pen to make them come to life.
Scene Elements
To create the scene, I die cut two of Lawn Fawn’s Cattails Border out of Strathmore’s Bristol Smooth and ink blended the grass and cattail leaves using Bundled Sage, Forest Moss, and Lucky Clover, Distress Oxide inks. Next, I ink blended that cattails with Walnut Stain and Ground Espresso Distress Oxide inks and then added some dot detail with a Copic marker.
For the water, I used one of the dies from Lawn Fawn’s Stitched Simple Wavy Borders to cut a piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock and ink blended Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide inks.
To create the sky, I cut a third piece of Bristol Smooth cardstock using the largest die from Lawn Fawn’s Large Stitched Rectangle Stackables and then ink blended Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire, and Black Soot Distress Oxide inks to create a night sky. Once the ink blending was complete I used Gansai Tambi’s Starry Colors Luna Silver watercolor to splatter the sky and create stars.
Sentiment
For the sentiment, I pulled out The Ton’s Easy Expressions Thanks stamp set. This stamp and die set is AMAZING! It creates several thank you sentiments all at once and the best part is you can use two color inks to make the sentiment even more fun. I also love that the sentiments have both block and scripty fonts. I created several sentiments by heat embossed the first part with Lawn Fawn’s Sliver embossing powered and the second part using Pinkfresh Studio’s Meadow ink.
Finishing Touches
To add finishing touches, I went over the lily flowers, crown, and moon with a Nuvo’s Midas Touch Aqua Shimmer pen. Next, I added Ranger’s Liquid Pearls in Lemon Chiffon and Coral to the center of flowers in the wreath and lastly I went over the moon with Ranger’s Glossy Accents.
I hope you enjoyed this fun card. Thanks for stopping by! Stay safe and healthy!
