MFT Die Cut Mother’s Day Card

Hi All,

Can you believe Mother’s Day is right around the corner? Where does the time go!? I thought it would be fun to create an all die cut floral card so I pulled out my MFT’s Stitched Blooms dies and got to work.

Flowers and Cardstock

All the flowers and leaves were created with only six dies from the Stitched Blooms set and the following colors of MFT cardstock: Wild Wisteria and Lavender Fields for the purple flowers; Lemon Chiffon and Lemon Drop for the yellow flowers; and Sour Apple and Green Room for the leaves.

Sentiment

For the sentiment I used the MFT’s Mom die. I die cut the lower case “Mom” out of Wild Wisteria cardstock and inked the bottom with Shaded Lilac and Wilted Violet Distress Oxide inks to create an ombre effect.

Fishing Touches

To add a bit more sparkle to the card I used Pretty Pink Posh Jewels in Buttercream and Pansy Purple colors. I added Pansy Purple to the purple flowers and throughout the bottom half of the card and Buttercream to the yellow flowers and the top half of the card.

Envelope

I decided to create a coordinating envelope using the same dies, inks, and jewels. I love this extra little touch since it gives the recipient a sneak peek of what the card looks like and ties everything together.
