Hi Everyone,
It’s finally starting to feel a bit like Fall where I live and I must admit that I love this time of year with the crisp air, warm days, and turning leaves! It’s also the start to my favorite time a of year for card making. I love making Fall themed cards and absolutely adore making Christmas cards so for the rest of the year I’ll be a super happy crafter.
Images
I completely adore Pretty Pink Posh’s Fall Signs stamp set – all the images are so cute! To create this card, I started by stamping most of the images onto Neenah Solar White, 110 lb, cardstock with Gina K Designs’ Jet Black Amalgam ink and then colored them using Copic markers.
Background and Supporting Elements
To create the background, I ink blended Distress Oxide Candied Apple, Ripe Persimmon, and Mustard Seed inks onto Strathmore’s Bristol Smooth cardstock. Next, I splattered the ink blended background with Ranger’s Dylusions Pure Sunshine and Tangerine Dream shimmer sprays, Nuvo’s Pecan Peach Mica Mist, and Distress Oxide Candied Apple ink. I’m beyond in love with this beautiful, warm, and rich background! This was also my first time using Ranger’s Dylusions shimmer sprays and I LOVE them!
For the supporting elements, I die cut several leaves with Lawn Fawn’s Stitched Leaves and Small Stitched Leaves dies using several colors of cardstock from my stash. Next, I inked the edges of the leaves with Pinkfresh Studio’s Candy Apple, Persimmon, Marigold, and Emerald City inks to give them added dimension. Finally, I die cut a frame using one of the dies from Hero Arts’ Wood Frame dies out of Lawn Fawn’s Paper Bag cardstock and inked the edges with Pinkfresh Studio’s Gather Twigs and Espresso inks.
Sentiments
I stamped three of the sentiments from the Fall Signs stamp set using VersaFine Clair’s Nocturne ink to create my sentiment. I love how many wonderful sentiments are included in this stamp set.
Finishing Touches
To add a few finishing touches, I went over the scarecrows eyes with a Sakura Black Glaze Pen to make them come to life. Next, I went over the scarecrows straw, yellow leaf, and corn with Nuvo’s Midas Touch Aqua Shimmer pen, I added a generous layer of Nuvo’s Sunlit Sienna Aqua Shimmer pen to the all the pumpkins, and then went over the two apples and the pear with a Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen. Lastly, I added a few of Studio Katia’s Gold Foil Pearls around the card.
Thanks for spending some time with me today! I hope you have a wonderful day and stay safe!
