Hi Everyone,
Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, it rains a LOT throughout the spring which doesn’t really end until July, or at least you can’t really count on consistent sunshine until then. That combined with many happy family parties centered around the 4th of July has made it my favorite holiday. So, when I saw Taylored Expressions’ Fireworks Stamp and Stencil Combo I was too excited not to snap it up.
About the Combo
This is such a fun and different set since you get a red rubber background stamp and two layering stencils that all work together. The background stamp, stamps the stars and little dots and then the two stencils add the firework trails. You can use different colors for the firework trails, like I did, or you can use a single color for both trails.
Taylored Expressions YouTube Channel has a great video showing how to use these products.
Background Stamp
For my first layer, I used the background stamp and embossed it with Lawn Fawn’s Silver embossing powered. I love how pretty this background stamp is just on it’s own! You can really see the pretty details in the photo below.
Stencils
Using the first stencil, I inked blended Taylored Expressions’ Gumball ink to add blue firework trails. Next, I used the second stencil layer and blended Pinkfresh Studio’s Berrylicious ink to add red firework trails. I love how easy this was to do and how fantastic it turns out!
Sentiment
I wanted to keep the focus on the background and wanted a sentiment to compliment it. So, I pulled out MFT’s Celebrate die and used it to cut Tonic Studios’ Blue Obsidian cardstock and blue craft foam to raise the sentiment off the background a bit.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Stay safe and healthy!
